Topic : Brassavola Orchids

Rafael Romero was born in Caracas, Venezuela, March 1960.

He studied for 2 years in the United World College of the Atlantic, (UK),

(he says - that's where I learned my English), graduated in 1978.

Graduated as a Biologist from Universidad Simon Bolivar in 1984.

Started Working in Orchids in 1986 with my father-in-law, Henrique Graf, owner of the largest Orchid Nursery in Venezuela. (Plantio La Orquidea)

Started together with my wife the Laboratory in 1986 where we produce the species and hybrids we sell.

Moved to the US, Sarasota, August 2003.

We have now here a small nursery, approx. 7,000 sq ft, where we have established a good sample of the species and hybrids we produce and have been adding interesting species and hybrids from all over the world.
