Our February meeting Guest Presentation
We are delighted that Keith and Dina Emig of Winter Haven Orchid Nursery will be our speaker duo on Thursday, February 19, sharing information about Cattleyas.
Keith always gives an energetic, entertaining and informative presentation, and will also bring lots of wonderful plants to sell. This will be a meeting you won't want to miss.

Hello Everyone ,
I hope everyone is well, and warm. That crazy cold spell we had really had an effect on our outside plants. Ready to see some color at our show.
Please remember to bring a dish to the meeting.
We are just 11 days from our show.
We still have a lot of work to do before we set up for the show.
NEEDS - FOOD for the show. There is a sign-up sheet. Look in your email.

Please contact either myself or Heather Ferrell to fill a time slot.
We need your commitment to volunteer at our show. We cannot do this without you. Please email or text me your name and time that you are volunteering.
FEBRUARY 19 MEETING AGENDA

5. Show/Displays - Ruth was to thank everyone that brought their plants to the FWCOS
Show Display. Ruth, Kim Floyd, and …. , the display that they put in won 1st place!!!!! Congratulations everyone!!! We will be receiving $150 and the glass “brick”.

a. Florida State Fair – again thank you to Kim Floyd to helping Ruth set up the display at the Florida State Fair and to our other volunteers handing out our flyers for the show.


6. AOS Corner – Make plans to join us for the 2026 AOS Spring Conference in Apopka, Florida. Conference dates: April 8th-11th. It will be held in conjunction with the Apopka International Spring Orchid Festival hosted by Krull-Smith.
There will be expert orchid speakers, hands-on workshops, AOS judging, Committee and Board meetings, orchid vendors, a live auction, a fabulous gala dinner and more! You will have plenty of opportunities to meet and mingle with fellow orchid enthusiasts.

Trophies are cash prizes to the winner in each category.
Prepare your plants to win one or more trophies. All plants entered in the show are eligible to win ribbons, trophies and next level, American Orchid Society awards. (unless noted - not for AOS judging)
Greenhouse Chats are WEBINARS that do not require AOS membership.
